Film Review: Chef

Chef is a comedy written, directed, co-produced and starring Jon Faverau - it centres on a chef (duh) called Carl Casper who leaves behind his job in Los Angeles after something of a kitchen meltdown. At a loose end, Carl has to find himself and embrace doing what he loves. Cue cooking montage!

Film Review: Godzilla

Starring: Aaron-Taylor Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe
Runtime: 123 minutes

The King of Monsters is here - Godzilla, the iconic city-stomping kaiju is back on cinema screens with a dark, towering re-imagining from director Gareth Edwards.

Starring Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Ken Watanabe, this 2014 incarnation of Godzilla is a behemoth of epic proportions. The only question is; can it match its size in quality?

Film Review: Bad Neighbours

Bad Neighbours is a comedy from the bright minds behind last years This Is The End - starring Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron and Dave Franco, Bad Neighbours is more of the same from Rogen and co: lewd, crude, gross stoner comedy. And dick jokes. Lots of dick jokes.

It's May the Fourth - how could I not write something about Star Wars?

Okay, so as you may or may not have heard, JJ Abrams and Lucasfilm last week announced who will be appearing in Star Wars: Episode VII. The reveal was a pretty big deal for fans such as myself, so I figured May the Fourth, a.k.a Star Wars Day would be great time to sit back and give my thoughts on the cast, both new and old. Cue ramblings!

2014 Summer Blockbuster Preview

It's May which can only mean one thing; blockbuster season is nearly upon us!

2014 has been a solid year for big movies so far this year - both Captain America and Amazing Spider-man have been ace, as has The Lego Movie. Things are only getting started however, with some of the years biggest movies swimming into view over the next few months. From robotic dinosaurs, apes riding horses to time-travelling mutants and talking raccons, the 2014 blockbuster season has it all...sort of.

Be sure to let me know which big movie you are looking forward to most!

Anyway, here's a run-down of the big movies you can expect to see in cinemas over the next few months here in Australia. And yes, I know it's technically winter. I still refer to these movies as 'summer movies'; force of habit!
