Film Review: Logan
Hugh Jackman dons the mutton chops and adamantium claws for one last time in James Mangold's Logan. Question is, does he send old Wolverine off in style?

Rank the Films: X-Men
As any regular reader of this blog will know, lists are pretty darn nifty. I have a profound appreciation for straight-up lists. This is the thinking behind Rank the Films, a regular feature that pulls apart the pros and cons of a series of films, ranking them in order of worst to best.
This month, to celebrate the release of X-Men: Apocalypse, I'm revisiting all nine X-Men films (yep, we're counting Deadpool) and deciding which I like best and those that maybe aren't as great.
And yes, this list includes Apocalypse - it's been in cinemas Down Under for nearly a week, I've seen it and I'm including it in my ranking. Where does it rate? What will come out on top? And, most importantly, does anyone actually think Origins will be anywhere other than last place?
Well, read on to find out...

Film Review: X-Men - Days of Future Past Rogue Cut
When Bryan Singer announced that Anna Paquin's Rogue had been left behind on the cutting room floor for 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, many fans were a little disappointed. After all, it was through her eyes that we, the audience, were first introduced to the world of X-Men way back in the year 2000.
Fast-forward to mid-2015 and Singer's hugely-successful rewrite of the X-Men mythos is getting a revamp on DVD with the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut. With bonus Paquin (amongst others), Rogue Cut hopes to satisfy die-hard fans who've followed the franchise since the start. So, how does the new version of Days of Future Past stack up?

Back to School Blogathon
Wendell over at Dell on Movies is hosting yet another great blogathon in order to coincide with the start of the new school year. It may have been a while since I've had to worry about going 'back to school', but that doesn't mean I don't look out for my letter to Hogwarts in the mail every year.
It's for this reason that I just had to have a crack at this fun blogathon - essentially, the task is to fill archetypical character types associated with school (the Jock, the Nerd) from various different films to create one diverse, wacky class of characters.

Film Review: X-Men - Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past is the seventh film in the X-Men series and the third directed by Bryan Singer - starring pretty much everybody you can think of, this ambitious entry into the superhero franchise is bigger, ballsier and better than ever before.

Rank the Films: X-Men
In order to conicide with the release of Marvel's latest X-Men film, The Wolverine, I thought it was a good time to take a look at the franchise's back catalogue of films and settle upon which is the best and which is the worst.
